Pin Oak (Quercus palustris)

A favorite medium-sized street or ornamental shade tree.  Grows 40-50 feet.  Leaves are dark glossy green, scarlet in the Fall.  Acorns are about ½ inch long and provide excellent feed for birds and animals.  It is tolerant of wet soil and urban conditions.
