Balsam Fir (Abies balsamea)
A beautiful evergreen that grows best at high altitudes and northern areas. Prefers a cool moist sheltered
location. Needles are 1" long, flat blue-green in color, very fragrant. Widespread use as Christmas trees. The Nova
Scotia strain is highly recommended for favorable sites in the northeastern United States.
